Are we tired of the brat trend yet? 💚 Just befo Are we tired of the brat trend yet? 💚 Just before the Roblox Developer Conference (#RDC) kicked off, the most popular metaverse platform had already made headlines with its Brat-inspired collaboration with Charli XCX in the Dress to Impress game. Packed with emotes, dresses, and cosmetics straight from Charli’s latest album, the collection drew in over 600,000 players (!), proving once again how Roblox is effortlessly blending fashion and gaming.

During #RDC, we at USP got a closer look at some major updates that are set to push the platform and meta-trends even further:

Shopify Integration 🤑 Starting next year, creators will be able to sell their real-life products directly through Roblox. Yep, you’ll be able to buy physical items in-game and IRL, with everything handled seamlessly through Shopify.

Music Expansion 🧑‍🎤 Roblox is adding What’s Playing and Music Charts functions, so players can easily discover new songs and connect with artists.

New Social Features 🫧 Roblox is becoming more than just a gaming platform. Launching later this year, the Party system will let users text and later voice chat in-app, with features for devs to create private lobbies, same-team pairings, and teleport players within games.

AI Development 🦾 Soon, devs can use AI to create entire 3D worlds from just text or video prompts — whether it’s photorealistic or anime, the choice is theirs.

Among them, the Light Spray Shoe by @on has truly caught our attention. This shoe features a robot-made seamless upper that is fused directly into a racing midsole. The result? A shoe that’s lighter than anything humanly possible, pushing the boundaries of what athletes can expect from their gear.🦿The blend of technology and material science here is breaking all the conventional molds, quite literally. 

~ Next, we have @Nike’s AI-designed A.I.R. sneakers, that debuted ahead of the Paris Olympics. They analyze athlete data to improve comfort, efficiency, and performance. 

~ @Reebok is meanwhile unleashing generative AI design tools for customers via their custom machine learning tools in-built directly within Instagram DMs, creating a 3D visualisation of your future
personalised shoes.

~ Also, @Camper’s newest modular trainers are designed to be easily assembled and disassembled by the user. Envisioned as “a minimal shoe with a minimum environmental impact”, the Roku trainer was designed so that its individual components could be simply replaced and recycled.

Shudu isn’t just a stunning face now — she can interact with and answer questions from the audience, bringing a new level of engagement to the fashion marketing.

To celebrate this milestone, Shudu graced the cover of Vogue Czechoslovakia’s Leaders edition, sharing the spotlight with our fashion innovation expert, @nataliyagrimberg, who was featured in this edition too.📘
