Long Live Southbank

In March 2013, the Southbank Undercroft skate park was threatened by a £120 million redevelopment plan to transform the iconic landmark into retail units and relocate the popular skate area further down the river Thames.

Long Live Southbank was produced in conjunction with a campaign to save the treasured space that has been used by skateboarders, BMX riders and graffiti artists for the last 40 years. After successful protests, the campaigners were able to celebrate a win in September 2014. This book uses new and archival photography to share the history, architecture, culture and community that is part of this remarkable space.
